The Board of Directors generally meets four times during the year. This year, the Board is scheduled to meet on September 17, 2008, January 21, April (TBA) and June 17, 2009. A meeting may be called in November 2008 if deemed necessary.

The Friends membership meets once a year at the Annual Meeting, usually held in April to conduct business and elect new leadership and to meet scholarship students and hear performances by them. The Friends of the School of Music Newsletteris printed and mailed in the winter and the activities of the Friends are reported in the School of Music Magazine, Of Note, which is published annually in the summer. The Friends also receive two School of Music Concert Calendars, at the beginning of the Fall and Spring semesters as well as letters from the Dean about special events and activities at the School during the academic year.
