Dean’s Office Summer Hours from Monday, May 16 through August 5 will be 8:30-4:30
 
Appointments with Dean Doane
Following a new practice established by the Provost, regular appointments with the dean requested by faculty and staff will be 30 minutes in length instead of one hour, effective immediately. Of course it goes without saying that consideration will be made for matters requiring more discussion, but please consider 30 minutes to be the new norm.  -DBH

Dror Biran is the featured artist on the Louisville Orchestra's finale concert tomorrow evening at 8pm in the Brown Theatre, where he will play Grieg's Piano Concerto in A Minor; Jorge Mester, conductor.
 
On Monday and Tuesday, May 9th and 10th, 25 high school concert bands comprised of more than 1600 woodwind, brass and percussion players performed at the KMEA State Concert Band Festival in Comstock Hall. For more than a decade, the University of Louisville Bands have hosted this event. A huge thank you to the members of band service honorary Tau Beta Sigma for terrific logistical assistance!   -Fred Speck
