Theresa Bautista

Theresa Bautista is a freelance dancer, choreographer and teacher who has been hailed by the Louisville Courier Journal as a “delight to watch” on stage. She has performed professionally with Ila Conoley’s ICONography Dance, The Susie Thiel Collaborative, jan street dance theatre, Rachel James, Anna Sapozhnikov’s MOYAMO DANCE, Gordon Dance Projects and Art! Art! Barking Dog Dance company. She is the Founder and Co-Producer of Moving Collective, a Louisville-based dance organization that presents concerts of promote the work of established and emerging choreographers of modern and contemporary dance. Her most recent work, Pillow Talk: function, dream, support and rest was “arguably the most engaging dance of the evening" from reviewer Keith Waits of Arts-Louisville.com and her work Victims received Gala honors at the Southeast Regional Ballet Festival. Theresa serves as adjunct faculty for the University of Louisville and University of Kentucky in dance and also teaches at the U of L Dance Academy, Louisville Ballet School, Ellen’s School of Dance and Allegro Dance Theatre. She has been a member of the dance faculty for the Kentucky Center’s Governor’s School for the Arts for over 10 years serving as Chair for 5 years and continues to teach masterclasses across the United States.
