Don Braden's Organix Trio, Featuring Vanessa Rubin

Renowned jazz saxophonist, Don Braden, a native of Louisville, will return with his Organix Trio that features vocalist Vanessa Rubin for a concert on Thursday, May 29 at 7:00 PM in Bird Recital Hall at the University of Louisville School of Music. Ticket prices are $15 general admission for adults and $5 for students. The concert will feature selections from their new release, “Full Circle,” on the Creative Perspective Music label. Also performing will be Kyle Koehler on organ and Cecil Brooks III on drums.

Vanessa Rubin is one of the most gifted, seasoned jazz vocalists of her generation, and Don Braden is renowned not only for his virtuosos saxophone artistry, but also his unique compositions and arrangements. Having performed together early in their careers, this new project takes them back to their Hammond organ roots in a CD that swings from start to finish.
