Symphonic Band
Major Ensemble
The Symphonic Band, directed by Amy Acklin,
is comprised of top level musicians from the University and the School
of Music. The Symphonic Band performs literature composed for large
wind, brass, and percussion ensembles. Giving several concerts each
year, the Symphonic Band provides students with a diverse repertoire
that is performed with great attention to musical and artistic
qualities. This group rehearses on Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00 -
5:50 pm during the Fall semester and on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
from 4:00 - 5:50 pm during the Spring semester. Members are selected by
audition.
