Don Woods is currently a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Louisville pursuing a masters degree in trumpet performance. Prior to arriving at University of Louisville, he received a bachelors degree in trumpet performance from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Don has had the privilege of performing before several world dignitaries to include three former U.S. Presidents and a former British Prime Minister. He has also had the pleasure of performing with: Crystal Gayle, Shirley Jones, Marvin Stamm, Rex Richardson, ELO (Electric Light Orchestra), Blood Sweat and Tears, Fifth Dimension. He has also performed with: Baton Rouge Symphony, Acadiana Symphony, Meridian Symphony, Decatur Chamber Orchestra, LSU Faculty Brass Quintet, Southeastern Louisiana University Faculty Brass Quintet, Pat Barberot Orchestra, and Carnival Cruise Lines' Valor Orchestra.
