Sonata Saturday Registration Form

Date: March 19, 2011
9:00am - 12:00 Noon

Place: Bird Recital Hall, School of Music, University of Louisville

Instrument: Open to all pianists in the Metro Louisville area, including New Albany, Jeffersonville, and Clarksville, Indiana.

Application deadline:     
March 1, 2011
Applications may be picked up in the Community Music Program Office at the University of Louisville School of Music or complete the form at the bottom of this page.


Repertoire: Any fast movement from a Sonatina or Sonata (No Baroque)

Sponsor: The Community Music Program of the School of Music, University of Louisville.
Cost: $20.00 per application

Performance:
  1. Performance will be "open" to the public.
  2. Awards will be made at the end of each performance group.
  3. Each student will receive an evaluation by an adjudicator and a certificate.
  4. The adjudicator will select students for a "Seal of Excellence" to be added to the certificates, if warranted.
Rules:
  1. The work must be in its original form.
  2. Music must be performed by memory.
  3. The movement performed should be played in its entirety, but without repeats.
  4. Music must be provided for the adjudicator.
  5. No photocopies are permitted.

To register for this year's Sonata Saturday online, please fill out the form below. Remember that this submits to us only your registration information, not fees. You will still need to mail your registration fees to the address below. If you have more than one student entering, please make out one check payable to UofL Community Music Program.

Apr 9-14: Closed for Spring Break - Belknap and Oldham County

May 9: End of Spring Semester
