Music Therapy
Lorinda Jones, MA, MT-BC, supervises music therapy students in their clinical work. In addition to her university teaching, Ms. Jones heads Music Therapy Services of Central Kentucky, providing individual and group music therapy services to school districts. Ms. Jones was the first President of the Music Therapy Association of Kentucky, Secretary of the Southeastern Region of AMTA, and has been a presenter for both state and regional conferences.
Ms. Jones is also active as a folk music teacher/performer on the Mountain dulcimer and Celtic harp. She has produced several recordings and has dulcimer books published by Mel Bay Publications.
In addition to her music therapy equivalency, she holds degrees in Music Education, Secondary Education, and Counseling, with teaching experience in grade levels from preschool through college.
