David Walker is active as both guitarist and lutenist, and has performed extensively throughout the United States as soloist, accompanist, and chamber musician. David holds degrees from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University and the University of Louisville School of Music, has performed in guitar masterclasses for members of the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet as well as protégés of Andres Segovia, Oscar Ghiglia and Michael Lorimer, and has studied lute and guitar with Nigel North, Patrick O’Brien, and Ronn McFarlane. He has performed with the Atlanta Baroque Orchestra, the Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra, the Catacoustic Consort, members of the Baltimore Consort, Chatham Baroque, the Wolf Trap Opera Company, and is a member of the chamber ensemble Ostraka. He has appeared at the Boston Early Music Festival Exhibition, the Bloomington Early Music Festival, and under the direction of Ton Koopman at Carnegie Hall.
