What to Expect
The audition and interview generally take 45-60 minutes to complete. The first part of the audition is conducted much like a "mini-lesson," where the student performs and interacts with the faculty. The audition is followed by an informal interview with another School of Music faculty member. Undergraduate students will be given a brief, oral assessment of theory/musicianship and may be asked to discuss academic and career goals. Graduate students auditions will be followed by an informal interview with Dr. Jean Christensen, Director of Graduate Studies.
