Letter to Marc Satterwhite from Patrick Soluri, 7-16-2009

Dear Marc,

I've just returned from Europe, and wanted to update everyone on several exciting developments!

My new CD is now available! It contains the orchestral ballet score from MURDER AT THE MASQUE: CASEBOOK OF EDGAR ALLAN POE. The initial release sold-out during the world premiere of the ballet in April, and I'm pleased to announce that you can order these new CDs directly from my website for $12 +S/H. The CD includes an 8 page booklet with photos from the premiere production (by Rosalie O'Connor) and a complete premiere cast list. The recording was mastered by Grammy-winning mastering engineer Andreas Meyer, and is also available on iTunes worldwide. Audio samples can be heard on my website, www.patricksoluri.com

Around the corner is the next SALON: July 31st as we return to the beautiful Players Club on Grammercy Park in New York City! Come lounge and dance to the 18-piece HARLEM RENAISSANCE ORCHESTRA. We'll also have DJ SWANK, burlesque by MELODY SWEETS and a specialty cocktail menu prepared and mixed by guest mixologist FREDO CERASO from Loungerati. Invitations coming soon - please go to www.thesalon.biz for more info. Future Salons: October 9th, featuring Ron Sunshine and His Orchestra; and December 30th, with George Gee’s Jump, Jivin' Wailers with John Dokes on vocals, for a special Salon celebrating New Year's Eve Eve AND the 10th Anniversary of the Piano Store!

I am currently working on a new commission for a children's ballet, by the Cuyahoga Valley Youth Ballet in Ohio, based on the "Fancy Nancy" children books by Jane O'Connor The ballet will be choreographed by Francis Patrelle and will premiere in Akron, Ohio on March 13th and 14th, 2010 and will have an additional performance on May 8th, 2010 in New York City at Symphony Space.

I am also very pleased to announce a short ballet score commissioned by the Berlin Staatsballet, one of Europe's leading ballet companies, for dancer and choreographer Xenia Wiest. It will be part of their program "Shut Up and Dance!" and will premiere January 15, 2010 with 11 performances in Berlin at the Komische Opera House. Performances: January 15th & 23rd, February 3rd & 8th, May 30th, June 7th, 8th & 28th, July 8th, 10th & 11th.

2009 is proving to be a busy year in ballet for me, with three ballet scores to be composed by the end of the year. See what renowned ballet dancers Jenifer Ringer and Sandra Brown have to say about dancing to my music on the QUOTES page of my website.

Please save the date for my CARNEGIE HALL DEBUT on October 1, 2009! Technically speaking now, I'm not performing, but it is the debut of my 10-minute comic opera "FIGARO's LAST HANGOVER" as part of the Remarkable Theater Brigade's evening of short operas.

Thanks for reading and please stay in touch! You can also find me on Facebook, Myspace and Twitter! Please visit my website for up-to-date info, audio samples and to purchase CDs, www.patricksoluri.com

All my best,
-Patrick
