Music Therapy Day

Music Therapy College and Career Day:
Friday, February 13

9am-1pm Music Therapy Classes *optional
Students are invited to sit in music therapy classes to gain a better understanding of the field of music therapy and the educational opportunities at UofL.

9am: Clinical Applications in Music Therapy 1 is a freshman level course designed to teach students beginning group leadership skills.

10am: Clinical Applications in Music Therapy 3 is a sophomore level course designed to teach guitar and vocal repertoire commonly used by clinical music therapists.

11am: Lunch break

12pm: Music Therapy Techniques 2 is a course that covers specific techniques used by clinical music therapists. Community engagement is included in this course with students leading music interactions in a locked dementia care unit in town.

2pm-3pm: Music therapy curriculum and learning opportunities at UofL
3pm-4pm: UofL music therapy student panel
4pm-5pm Music Therapy Clinic tours
