Faculty Achievements
Distinguished Faculty Awards
School of Music Recipients
Every year the University honors faculty who bring distinction to the University through their commitment to the areas of service; teaching; and outstanding scholarship, research, and creative activity. Each academic unit may nominate one full-time nominee for each category. Awards are given to faculty recommended by the University-wide Selection Committee, comprised of representatives of all academic units of the University. The presentations of awards occurs at a Celebration of Faculty Excellence event where recipients are awarded $1,000 and an academic medallion. The accomplishments of nominees not receiving the awards are acknowledged publicly at appropriate occasions held in their units.
