Arabic and North African Studies Program (ARANAS)
Four or eight-week summer sessions offering coursework in Modern Standard Arabic, Moroccan Colloquial Arabic, North African studies, and Islamic civilization.

Up to $20,000 for a full year of study in countries identified as critical to U.S. national security. Preference is given to students who make a commitment to a career in federal service. DEADLINE: February 13, 2007 (for undergraduate Boren scholarship).

Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship
Up to $5000 ($8000 for students studying critical languages) for up to a semester of study abroad. Applicants must be receiving a Federal Pell Grant or provide proof that they will be receiving a Pell Grant at the time of application or during the term of their study abroad. DEADLINE: April 3, 2007.
