Rebecca Dixon is an instructor in the Basic French program.
She discovered a love for travel during a semester study abroad in Rennes, France, and she returned to France to teach English to elementary schoolers for a year in Tulle. During her year in Tulle, she completed a two week intensive language course at the Istituto Michelangelo in Florence on a full scholarship from the Italian Cultural Institute of Chicago. Her other travels include: the Montpellier work exchange as a graduate student at the University of Louisville, and personal time in Martinique and Québec.
In addition to sharing her passion for the French language with students, she is also a Program Coordinator in the Office of Study Abroad and International Travel. In this way, she is able to encourage students both to travel to French-speaking countries and to continue taking French courses.
Beginning in Spring 2017, she will serve on the Faculty Work Group for the Quality Enhancement program.
