Ming Wu

Term Instructor of Chinese

About

As an award-winning teacher and published scholar with a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics, I am dedicated to helping students learn about China, its language, people, and culture. In my 13 years of experience in both American and Chinese universities, I have taught Chinese language on all levels to students from over fifty countries. I have also lectured these students on wide-ranging aspects of Chinese culture.

During my career, I have sought to extend my commitment to education by “teaching teachers.”  I have taught courses to both undergraduate and graduate students majoring in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language. In addition, I have given demo classes, some of which were video-taped, to train new teachers.

I believe that if taught through effective approaches , Chinese language will not be difficult to acquire. My classes are fun and engaging. If you want to know more about my teaching style, here is a video: https://youtu.be/wkpzWz_YVPg.
