Basic Language Requirement classes count towards major.

 

**Entry to the B.S. in ASLIS is not automatic. Entry requires functional fluency in ASL and basic interpreting competencies. The final exam in ITP 220 serves as part of the ASLIS screening process for entry into the major.

NOTE:Because there are changes within the University regarding graduation requirements such as General Education, Major courses, etc., it is advisable that you meet with the College of Arts and Science and the ASL Interpreting Studies each year.  This will enable all of us to be aware of what classes you are taking and what you will need to take in order to graduate.
