Dr. Julie Peteet is a professor of Anthropology. She is also the chairperson of the MEIS program. Dr. Peteet received her PhD from Wayne State University. She specializes in the legal anthropology, the Middle East, displacement and refugees, gender, resistance and culture, transnationalism, and human rights.
