Kristian R. Novakovic, M.D.

Kristian R. Novakovic, MD is an assistant professor of Urology and Urologic Oncology at the University of Louisville. A native of Milwaukee, WI, he received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed an internship in general surgery followed by residency training in Urology at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. He was subsequently a clinical fellow in Urologic Oncology at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD. At the National Cancer Institute he received additional training in the minimally invasive surgical management of urologic malignancies including use of the daVinci robot. His research activity was focused on the molecular profiling of prostate cancer. Dr. Novakovic’s clinical focus is the surgical management of urologic malignancies including kidney, prostate, bladder, testis, adrenal and penile cancer. His practice emphasizes the use of minimally invasive techniques to manage these diseases. In conjunction with researchers at the James Graham Brown Cancer Center, he is active in both clinical and translational research in urologic malignancy.
