Julia McGee Lamberth Scholarship
We are pleased to again announce the award of the Julia McGee Lamberth Scholarship, available for Speech Pathology Core Students. Julia M. Lamberth, who received her degree at Southern Methodist University, was a practicing speech pathologist in Dallas, Texas, at the time of her untimely death on January 29, 1978. Her mother, who resides in Louisville, desires this fund as a memorial to her daughter solely for the purposes of recognizing needy and outstanding students majoring in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Louisville.
These funds shall be granted to student(s) based on character, scholarship and financial need as demonstrated by the student’s FAFSA application and a personal statement. The Division Director will make recommendations of the applicants to the Donor and the Donor will make the final selection after meeting with the applicants.
Interested students should submit a personal statement indicating financial need to Dr. Barbara Baker by April 15.
