Educational Resources
The Department of Radiology offers a wide range of educational resources for all the residents in the program. These include but are not limited to:

Clinical conferences are scheduled at least once daily and are two thirds didactic and one third case-oriented. The residents and staff participate in the discussion and demonstration of different diagnostic imaging sub-specialties. In addition, many interdepartmental conferences are offered.

A full and comprehensive didactic course in physics is given every year prior to the written boards.

The RSNA on-line lecture series and the UCSF lecture series on DVD.

The American College of Radiology (ACR) CD-ROM collection of teaching files.

The American College of Radiology (ACR) Professional Self-Evaluation Program (large and diverse collection of tests and syllabi).

A very extensive library of textbooks and journals.

A four-week course at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP) is required for every resident. The tuition for the course is paid by the Department.

$500 annual educational stipend.

One week of paid educational leave per year (PGY III - PGY V).
