Chief Resident Note

Welcome to the University of Louisville Department of Radiology Web page!

Our residency program is fully accredited by the American Board of Radiology. Our department includes 20 residents from all parts of the country.  Areas of rotation include Angio/Interventional, Neuroradiology, Body CT/MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, GI/GU, Chest, Pediatric Radiology, Mammography, OB Ultrasound, and ER/Bone Radiology.

The University of Louisville is a Level One Trauma Center in Kentucky and serves as the academic referral center for approximately 1 million people in Western Kentucky and Southern Indiana.

Our department has recently undergone a multi-million dollar renovation and new areas include ER Radiology, a new angiography suite, a new resident conference room and library, and a new Nuclear Medicine department as well as a PET Center.

Residents in the program are a close-knit group, and the relationship between the staff and residents is very congenial. Residents are entrusted with responsibilities appropriate to their level of training. Daily didactic lectures are given at noon. In addition, a separate Physics course is taught.

Thank you for your time. If you have further questions, please feel free to contact us directly at (502) 852-5875. We look forward to hearing from you.
