The University of Louisville Interventional Pulmonology provides all services needed to help community physicians take care of their patients with abnormal radiological studies of the chest.

We provide non-invasive, usually outpatient procedure to diagnosis abnormal lungs, enlarged lymph nodes, peripheral nodules, and cancer positive sputum. We also provide treatment of endobronchial tumors, tracheobronchial stenosis, tracheobronchomalacia, and prolonged air leaks.

The University of Louisville is also the first, and currently the only, center in the state of Kentucky to offer bronchial thermoplasty for the non-pharmacological treatment of severe persistent asthma.

Contact

The University of Louisville wishes physicians to be able to have any patient with an abnormal imaging study of the lungs or hemoptysis to be seen as soon as possible.

In order to help expedite this we ask that all patients come with a CD of their images, any relevant medical reports and referring physician’s contact information.

For more information, please contact Dr. Tanya Wiese at 502-852-5841, or e-mail t0wies01@louisville.edu.
