Special Activities

The Psychiatry Club is open to all medical students. It meets three to five times during the academic year and consists of informal presentations by faculty, residents, or outside speakers. A box lunch is served during each meeting. Attendance at Psychiatry Club functions ranges from 10 to 20 students. Drs. Feldmann and Tamas serve as faculty sponsors of the club.

In addition to these activities, a large number of faculty and residents serve as advisors to the freshman and sophomore unit labs. Each lab consists of approximately 16 students. The advisors meet with students monthly for lunch, and serve as mentors and academic counselors.
