The realm of emergency preparedness is an ever changing climate within the Commonwealth of Kentucky and across the nation. The Division of Protective Medicine (DPM) is committed to providing an avenue for research and new and innovative training and exercise opportunities in an effort to create an enhanced and prepared society.
The mission of the DPM is to inform healthcare public safety professionals and the public through 
education, assessment and research in order to ensure the PROTECTION of themselves, colleagues and their communities from health threats of high consequence.
