THE INTERVIEW COMPONENT
An interview component has been added to our selection process. The interviews are conducted after the Program Advisory Committee has had an opportunity to review your file and has made a decision to offer an interview.
The interview is basically a conversation which allows us to get to know you better and for you to learn more about our program. The interview may be similar to a medical school interview, so please take the interview seriously. We are not only seeking students who would benefit from our program, but also candidates for Assured Admission to our medical school.
Be prepared to answer questions regarding your file, especially if you have special circumstances. Interviews will be offered on designed days and times and will last for approximately 30 minutes. Scheduling arrangements will be made through our office once selected.
This is a professional interview, so please dress and prepare accordingly. Good luck to all of our interviewees!
HOW THE INTERVIEW IS CONDUCTED
The interview will include one or more members of the Program Advisory Committee and will be conducted either in person or via the web. Most of our interviews are with a panel of three committee members.
Our preferred interview method is in person or via the web. Those who can't meet in person, should have access to a web cam, mobile phone with web cam capabilities and SKYPE in order for an interview to be arranged. Our office will initiate contact once the interview has been scheduled. For SKYPE interviews, you must provide your username.
If you do not have your own capabilities, please consider the following suggestions; utilize equipment from a friend, colleague or one available at a college, library or internet cafe'. A phone interview will only be considered as a last resort on a case by case basis.
