The Mock Interview
Mock interviews will be scheduled during the month of July - mid August. Students will be notified in June of available dates and times.
Our students are required to have a mock interview before receiving their committee letter. The mock interview helps prepare the student for their real medical school interview.
The applicants will be rated similar to how they'll be on the actual interview day. They will receive feedback on their strengths and areas in need of improvement. The mock interview will last for 30 minutes; 20 minutes of interview and 10 minutes of feedback and advice. The interviewer will have access to the interviewee's background information (e.g., resume, personal statement, transcripts). Updated information can be provided by the interviewee. interviews will be scheduled beginning in late June - mid August (before the fall semester begins).
Students are to approach their mock interview as a real interview and should dress and conduct themselves accordingly.
