 A teaching practice of the Department of Pediatrics, University of Louisville Child Health Services (UCHS) serves as the primary care pediatric provider for many children from Louisville and surrounding areas. In addition, patients are referred for diagnostic evaluations and management of complex problems. Under the supervision of faculty, pediatric residents and medical students are expected to provide comprehensive preventive health care and to manage acute and chronic illness for a heterogeneous group of patients.

UCHS-South, our satellite office in southwest Jefferson County, delivers quality, general pediatric health care to children covered by all insurance plans. Together, these two sites provide primary care for over 8,000 children in the greater Louisville metropolitan area.
