Program Mission:
To provide the highest quality pediatric medical education to students and residents, by consistently adhering to national educational standards, by constant innovation, and by motivating individuals to achieve their highest potential.
Program Goals:
To fill our pediatric training program with the highest quality medical student available and maintain academic diversity.
Measurable objectives:
- Consistently have residents from more than 20 different medical schools on our roster
- To assure graduates have the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes to be successful in the
- 100% "Match Rate" each year
- practice of Pediatric Medicine. Measurable objectives:
- 100% of our residents will have acquired the "core competencies" by the end of the second year of training
- 100% of our senior residents will achieve a score of 400 or more on the Pediatric In-Training Examination
- 100% pass rate on Board of Pediatrics Certification Examination
- 100% employment after graduation
- To prepare graduates to succeed in national, regional and local pediatric leadership positions. Measurable objectives:
- 40% of our graduates will pursue academic positions, including subspecialty training
- 10% of our graduates will hold officer positions in local, regional or national organizations within 5 years of their graduation
- To maintain continuous accreditation by the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education. Measurable objectives:
- Be consistently accredited for the longest duration possible with no concerns raised by the Residency Review Committee
