Mission:
Diagnostic Reference Laboratory (DRL) is a validation
and biotechnology resource laboratory whose mission is to
provide service to the in vitro diagnostic industry.
DRL partners with in vitro diagnostics manufacturers
to provide high quality method validation and support for
clinical trials in a timely manner.
Our service includes:
- Analytical evaluation
- Clinical evaluation
- Discrepancy resolution
- Consultation services
Technical services provided are specifically matched with
the needs of the clients and can include development and maintaining
of reference methodology, patient acquisition, medical records
review and preparation of reports concerning validation of
new tests and procedures.
DRL has also been involved with local and regional researchers
in assisting them with providing clinical tests needed for
their research proposals. Availability of SELDI mass-spectrometry
has also greatly enhanced the DRL’s ability to serve
as a resource for basic and clinical researchers within our
community as well as national diagnostic corporations.
