Medical Education:
James J. Miller, Ph.D. earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the Univeristy of Louisville School of Medicine in 1989 followed by a fellowship in Clinical Chemistry also at the University of Louisville, Department of Pathology. Dr. Miller is diplomat of the American Board of Clinical Chemistry, a fellow of the National Academy of Clinical Biochemistry, and is President of the Clinical Ligand Assay Society. Dr. Miller directs the general clinical chemistry, immunoassay, and electrophoresis sections of the Univerisity of Louisville Hospital Laboratory and is Co-director of the Clinical Chemistry and Toxicology Fellowship Program.
Specialties:
Myocardial markers, quality control, interferences, and laboratory informatics.
Research Interests:
Brain energy metabolism, lipoprotein oxidation, mechanisms of interference, and laboratory informatics.
