Thank you for your interest in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery's Residency Training Program at the University of Louisville. We are pleased to provide you with the following information regarding the program requirements.

Your application and credentials must be submitted via the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS) at www.aamc.org/eras.

A completed application must be loaded into ERAS by October 31, with the exception of the Dean'sLetter, which is released from medical schools in November. A completed application consists of the following information:

  1. Recent Photograph
  2. Personal Statement
  3. An original transcript of grades
  4. Three letters of recommendation
  5. Copy of Board Scores (*minimum score of 220 required on Steps I or Step II)
  6. Dean's Letter - November 1
ALL OF THE ABOVE SUBMITTED THROUGH ERAS

Please Note: All materials MUST be included in your application file by October 31, with the exception of the Dean's Letter and original transcript normally included with the Dean's Letter, in order for your application to be considered. Due to the large volume of applications, no exceptions will be made.

Applicants for first year positions will be interviewed by invitation only. If selected, you will be notified via ERAS e-mail and an interview date will be provided. All candidates will be interviewed on the same day.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at: (502) 852-5319.
