Research leads the way for cures—The UofL Eye Specialists are all full-time faculty members in the UofL Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences—which means the physicians you see are also on the forefront of leading-edge eye research. It also means our patients have access to clinical trials available nowhere else in the region. Our physician-researchers have developed new medications and treatments for macular degeneration, glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy.
