Fellowships

Fellowship Program in Reproductive Endocrinology

Our three-year Fellowship Training Program provides an intense educational experience for both the clinical and research aspects of the specialty. The fellowship in reproductive endocrinology began in 1977 and 27 fellows have graduated from the program as of June 2007. The Division's private practice covers all aspects of endocrinological (infertility, contraception, menopause) and surgical aspects (operative endoscopy, laser and microsurgery) of the subspecialty. Utilizing the "Guide to Learning in Reproductive Endocrinology" of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, organized weekly didactic sessions are incorporated into the clinical and research aspects of the program. Fellows also participate in a large well-established pediatric/adolescent gynecological experience which includes clinical care and surgical (reconstructive) cases. Established in 1984, the ART program has maintained an excellent ongoing pregnancy rate. Please see our website University Women's HealthCare for the most current information regarding our pregnancy rate. The ART Fertility Center offers micromanipulation and donor gametes. The Division has extensive research facilities for a number of projects germane to the specialty. There are five reproductive endocrinologists and many postdoctoral fellows in the Division, thus providing a well-coordinated educational experience.
