Neurodiagnostics

Neurodiagnostic tests are often an essential tool for the accurate diagnosis and management of disorders of the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nerves. Accurate interpretation of these complex tests requires one or more years of additional training beyond neurology residency. The physicians at University Neurologists, P.S.C. who conduct and interpret these tests have all completed such specialized training and have received subspecialty board certification.

Available testing includes:

  • Sleep disorders testing in the region's first accredited Sleep Disorders Center.
  • Electromyography including single fiber and other advanced techniques.
  • Nerve conduction studies for the diagnosis of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and other peripheral nerve disorders.
  • Digital Electroencephalography.
  • Multimodality evoked potential testing including somatosensory, brainstem auditory and visual evoked potentials, electroretinography and intraoperative monitoring.
  • Transcranial Doppler Sonography.
  • Outpatient and inpatient epilepsy monitoring with digital EEG analysis.
