Dr. Iyer is a Professor of Neurology. He has been with the Department of Neurology since 1983. He has also been a professor in the Departments of Neurology at Vanderbilt University and at the Medical College in Trivandrum, India where he was also the Chief. He was the Vice-Chairman of the Department of Neurology from 1989 to 1996. He received his MD from Madras University. His areas of interest include sleep medicine, electromyography and electrodiagnostic medicine.
