Recent Awards
Liz Novak, a 4th Yr. PhD student in the laboratory of Dr. Don Demuth, was awarded a Ruth Kirschstein F31 Pre-doctoral fellowship grant from the NIH to support her studies for the PhD( 2009).
Courtney George, a MD/ PhD student in the laboratory of Dr. Robert Stout, was awarded a Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award fellowship from NIH to support her studies for the PhD (2009).
Chelsea Eaves, a 3rd Yr. PhD student in the laboratory of Dr. Tom Mitchell, was awarded an American Heart Association pre-doctoral fellowship for her project entitled " The role of IL-1beta in Monophosphoryl Lipid A's low toxicity and TRIF-biased signaling" in 2009.
Duygu Sag Cekic (PhD graduate, spring 2009 in the laboratory of Dr. Jill Suttles) was awarded a Graduate Dean’s Citation at the spring 2009 commencement.
