2011 M&I Student Awards:
Liz Novak, PhD(Fall 2011), in the
lab of Dr. Don Demuth won the "2nd place
Doctoral Basic Science Graduate Award"at Research! Louisville, 2011.
Anita
Chhabra, PhD candidate in the lab of Dr. Michele Kosiewicz
won the “Michael Tanner Memorial Award for Graduate Student
Research” at Research! Louisville, 2011.

Megan McIntosh, a MD/PhD student in the laboratory of Dr.
George Hajishengallis
- won 2nd place in the poster research competition (Graduate Students category) at the Periodontal Disease Gordon Research Conference.
- was awarded a Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award
Tiva Vancleave, PhD student in the laboratory of Dr. Matt Lawrenz was selected to be an institutionally funded SREB-State Doctoral Scholar fellow for 2011-2012.
Ashley Triplett, PhD student in the laboratory of Dr. Jill Suttles was
selected to receive an Ethnic Minority Doctoral Dissertation Award from the
School of Interdisciplinary and Graduate Studies for the 2011-2012 academic
year.
