Anesthesia
Senior Clerkship in Perioperative Medicine
This is a mandatory 2 week rotation during 4th year. This is a very relaxed, but hands-on clerkship that demands motivation from students. Medical tudents work with attendings but most of the time is spent with residents. It is highly encouraged that students attempt to work with the anesthesia nursing staff, especially in OR setting. The nurses are very willing to let students intubate patients. This rotation has no call days and both weekend days are off.
