Orientation
Orientation is a week-long preparation with information and fun prior to your first days of class as a medical student.
The University opens medical school with an orientation week for new students in early August. During that time, students will receive information on ID cards, email accounts, parking permits, immunizations, access cards, class photographs, security measures, etc.
It is also during this time where the University introduces you to your first-year faculty and administrators. They also give you information regarding studying, ease your fears regarding the upcoming challenges, and describe the importantance of maintaining ethics as a physician. Pay special attention to this part because it will likely show up on your first ICM exam.
The 2007 Orientation Week schedule will be posted here as soon as it becomes available.
