Each year we celebrate the successes of our trainees in the Department of Medicine.
On Awards Day, the department recognized the residents, fellows and faculty who have maintained a strong commitment to education. We also thanked our trainees and say good-bye as they pursue the next phase of their careers.
Also, a special thank you goes to Dr. Barbara Casper, director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program, and her staff for their hard work and dedication in putting together an outstanding awards program.
"During Awards Day, over 12 awards were presented to trainees and faculty who have excelled in their craft," Department Chairman Dr. Jesse Roman said. "The awards represent, not only a recognition of their efforts, but a thank you gift from the department for reminding us of the importance of what we do as academicians.
"We also highlighted those who are leaving our Internal Medicine and Medicine-Pediatrics Programs and Fellowships to extend their training or to join the ranks of private practice and academia throughout this country and beyond. We are proud of our trainees and know that they will extend our legacy wherever they go."
