Four named as 'Top Doctors' by USN&WR
Group nominated by peers to earn national recognition.
Four members of the University of Louisville Department of Medicine are among 23 U of L doctors chosen as "Top Doctors" by U.S. News & World Report.
The magazine recognized Drs. Jeffrey P. Callen, Jason A. Chesney, Geoffrey P. Herzig and Donald M. Miller as "Top Doctors."
In all, 23 doctors from U of L were recognized by U.S. News & World Report in its "Top Doctor" listing, including the four from the Department of Medicine.
Physicians selected as "Top Doctors" have been "...nominated by their peers and named to a highly selective list of America's top physicians by achieving national recognition for outstanding work," according to U.S. News & World Report.
"The U of L Department of Medicine has outstanding physicians," Dr. Jesse Roman, Chair of the University of Louisville Department of Medicine said. "Drs. Callen, Chesney, Herzig, and Miller deserve recognition for their extraordinatory efforts in treating patients with the best medicine and care."

Callen leads the U of L Division of Dermatology and recently earned the Medical Dermatology Society's Lifetime Achievement Award.

Chesney is the medical director of the James Graham Brown Clinical Trials office, and was named 2011 James Graham Brown Cancer Center Scientist of the Year.

Herzig is professor medicine and Co-Director of the Blood & Marrow Transplant Program.

Miller is Chief of the U of L Division of Medical Oncology & Hematology, James Graham Brown Foundation Chair and Director of the James Graham Brown Cancer Center. He was recently awarded the U of L Distinguished Faculty Award in Service.
