Roman pens cover story for Louisville Medicine magazine
U of L's Dr. Jesse Roman with a March 2010 copy of Louisville Medicine magazine featuring his cover article.
In addition to his duties as chairman of the University of Louisville's Department of Medicine, Dr. Jesse Roman has added "feature writer" to his repertoire.
Detailing the role research will play in the future treatment of interstitial lung diseases, Dr. Roman penned the cover article for the March 2010 issue of "Louisville Medicine," the monthly magazine published by the Greater Louisville Medical Society.
The cover of the magazine features an award-winning Kentucky Derby hat (named "My Dear Lady Anne") that was hand-crafted in honor of one his patients who succumbed to progressive lung fibrosis.
Roman goes on to detail the challenges facing doctors and researchers as they work to develop better techniques to treat ILD.
