Riley urges taxpayers to 'check it out' for breast cancer research

Elizabeth M. Riley, M.D., assistant professor in the Department of Medicine and physician at the James Graham Brown Cancer Center, joined Kentucky First Lady Jane Beshear, Rep. Joni Jenkins of Louisville and others at the Kentucky State Capitol in Frankfort Jan. 18 to call on Kentuckians to donate funds through their tax returns for breast cancer research.

Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes, Finance and Administration Secretary Lori Flanery, State Auditor Crit Luallen and University of Kentucky First Lady Mary Lynne Capilouto, joined Riley, Beshear and Jenkins to ask Kentucky taxpayers to check a box on their state income tax forms as an easy way to contribute to breast cancer research.
