The University of Louisville Division of Infectious Diseases will once again be offering a course to health care workers interested in a basic and concise review of the methodology for clinical research.

"The Process of Clinical Research: Step by Step from Idea to Publication" will be held over 10 days beginning August 5 at the University of Louisville Clinical and Translational Research Building (550 South Hancock Street), and directed by Dr. Julio Ramirez, Chief of the U of L Division of Infectious Diseases.

Advancing the knowledge of the basic principles of clinical research, including how research is conducted, evaluated and applied to patient care is the primary goal of the course.

At the end of this course, participants will have a working knowledge of statistics and clinical research that will help them move from idea to publication with the ultimate goal of encouraging participants to pursue the exciting field of clinical research.

Cost of the entire course is $100 per participant for the 10 sessions. Scholarships are available through the Division of Infectious Diseases.
