Endocrinology division helps out at Latino health fair

Sathya Krishnasamy, M.D., and other members of the University of Louisville Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism & Diabetes participated in the recent Latino Health Fair, held June 9, 2012 at the Americana Community Center.
The event was sponsored by the nonprofit Hispanic/Latino Coalition of Louisville. Attendees got information on their blood pressure, sugar and cholesterol levels and bone mass.
The fair also included an exhibition about about local health agencies as well as preventive health measures.
This year it also included presentations on tai chi, Zumba and dance performances to show attendees other ways to stay active.
