Brown Cancer Center earns NAPBC reaccreditation
JGBCC was the first cancer center in Kentucky to earn NAPBC accreditation in 2010.
The University of Louisville's James Graham Brown Cancer Center has earned reaccreditation for another three years, the maximum timeframe allowed, from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC).
Accreditation by the NAPBC, a program administered by the American College of Surgeons, is awarded only to those centers that have voluntarily committed to provide the highest level of quality breast care and that undergo a rigorous evaluation process and review of their performance.
"This distinction represents an acknowledgment of the dedication shown by our many breast care clinicians, support staff, counselors and researchers to providing only the most outstanding and comprehensive care to our patients," Donald Miller, M.D., Ph.D., director of the James Graham Brown Cancer Center said.
