University of Louisville doctors tabbed for leadership positions, oversee sessions and present research at American Thoracic Society meeting in Denver
Unlike their basketball counterparts, the University of Louisville Department of Medicine left a very positive impression recently
in the Mile High City.
As part of the 2011 International Conference of the American Thoracic Society (ATS), several
members from U of L delivered presentations and moderated training sessions at
the annual conference held May 13-18 in Denver.
In addition, a pair of U of L doctors were named to important leadership
roles:
-
Jesse Roman, M.D., Chairman of the University of Louisville
Department of Medicine, was named chair-elect of the ATS Respiratory Cell and
Molecular Biology Assembly. That group is involved in promoting respiratory
bench research and investigations in animal models of lung disease. Also, the
group helps advance the careers of junior investigators through mentoring.
