U of L students, residents earn ACP awards
Winners move on to present at national conference; Bressoud garners association's highest honor.
Members of the U of L Department of Medicine faculty, Internal Medicine Residency Program and School of Medicine once again won several awards and honors at the Kentucky ACP's 2012 annual meeting.
In what has become an annual tradition, medical students and residents from the University of Louisville collected several awards at the Kentucky Chapter of American College of Physicians annual meeting on Sept. 12, 2012 in Louisville.
The winners in each category will receive support to present their posters at the national ACP's Internal Medicine 2013 conference April 11-13, 2013 in San Francisco.
Members of the U of L contingent placed in the following categories:

In addition, U of L faculty member Phillip Bressoud, M.D., FACP, was honored with the Kentucky ACP Laureate Award, given to "those who are long-standing and loyal supporters of the College, who have rendered distinguished service to their chapters and community, and have upheld the high ideals and professional standards for which the College is known."
