Herbert F. Boehl Chair in Health Law and Policy

Two chairs were established from the estate of Herbert F. Boehl, a 1918 graduate of the law school. Kentucky's Research Challenge Trust Fund doubled the endowment.
The Boehl chair in health law and policy provides expertise on the legal dimensions of health policy issues, giving interdisciplinary assistance to colleagues in the health sciences to foster team-based research.
Boehl was a founding member of Boehl, Stopher & Graves LLP, a civil litigation defense firm in Louisville.
He was honored as a life member of the U of L Board of Overseers.
